The meeting began at 6:31 and lasted until 7:34 - being called to order by Marco Lee

Marco Lee (President) - 

Called the meeting to order

Nominated Dennis Beard to be his  Member at Large on the Board of Directors - the Association overwhelmingly approved him.

Paul Beck (Secretary) -

Remember to do a TIMELY game report after EVERY game, that you are assigned on Arbiter if you are listed first,   That is for - Preseason, a Play-Day, Varsity, JV or Middle School.
Put a comment in the comment space... don't leave it blank.  At least write "No Issues".  Also, mention if there is a concussion or ambulance called to field and all Red Cards.

Updated attendance is on website.  Remember you must attend three meetings a school year to stay in good standing.

Update calendar as there have been many games turned back.
There are eight new schools we are covering now.
Schools do not have to use MTSOA refs in the preseason

·         SOT is an independent tax exempt structure

o   Managed by the State Referee Council (SRC)

§  Executive Council – SRA, ASRA, SDInstruction, SDAssessments, Treasurer & SDAssignments.

§  State Referee Council District Referee Administrators (DRA’s) – Western, Middle, Central, Eastern, Northeastern & Southeastern.

·         Affiliation with Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA)

o   Symbiotic relationship with TSSA

§  TSSA approves the SRA and gives the SRA a seat on TSSA BOD.

§  SOT adopts TSSA’s policy’s to manage player and referee interaction

§  Share expenses on USSF mandated requirements

·         Region III Tournament

·         Presidents Cup

·         ODP

o   Provides TSSA with misconduct information State Wide

·         Referee Grades - Managed in TN – Grades 9, 8, 7, 6 & Emeritus

    * Bylaws update:

Due to the wording in  Article 1 that would cause serious legal and financial problems for the the Association it was rewritten to alleviate any future problems.  This is the only change to the bylaws and can become official after two more meetings.  After that if anyone wants to propose any future amendments they will be permitted.
